State Route 220 is 31/2 miles from the park where you can find Lowe's and Super Walmart.... Dan River 22 miles away Hwy 772 access as been roped off with No-Trespassing signs. This access is used a lot during the summer months, but evidently it is private property or someone is confused. Thought I'd let you know this since it's only a few miles from my house. That's a nice place to get in the river, but evidently somebody don't like the general public to use it. ... Snowshoe 95 miles away Snowshoe has the biggest elevation drop of any skiresort in the region which in my oppinion makes it a realtively great ski resort. You can get more skiing done before you have to get on the lift again. Which I think is very important in a ski resort.... Winterplace 95 miles away Winterplace now has 28 trails + a terrain park. They have expanded the beginner area to include a new trail.... Wintergreen 96 miles away Thanks for having such a great ski resort for us to visit, keep up the great work!...My family loves skiing at Wintergreen here in Virginia. We go there all the time in the winter, it's a good place to ski for all abilities I think, both beginners and experts....
