Shore fishing was great for me this year. I went fishing two weeks straight(excluding Sun). I caught at least two bass per day on one type of bait. 10.5 in. zoom ribbontail worm/black. Each bass weighed at least 1.5lbs. one bass weighed 2lbs and one weighed 2.5lbs...I caught three lg mouth back to back swimming a football jig with crayfish trailer. Good lake to fish if you have a boat or paddleboat. Not the best from the bank. Limited spots to fish.... |

To inspect for log jams beneath the gravel pit access bridge directly east of Romeoville High School, you are allowed to drive up to, but not ACROSS the bridge, according to a security gaurd at the gravel pit. To check for log jams, I'd park BEFORE the bridge, and get out and walk across the bridge, looking over the railing. Also, there's a spot where you can walk up to the river edge. Facing east, it will be on your right, before the bridge. I'm uploading a photo dated April 12, 2002. It's a view of that bridge, taken from the water, looking southwest.... |
