Gunpowder Falls 23 miles away OK so after checking this one out today I was sorely disappointed. it is in no way a II-III, more like a slow moving I, not even a I-II. Also the put in location is on some private property farm so good luck getting in the water at some point where the river isn't congested down into drainage ditches going under the small roads in this area. I highly recommend some of the other gunpowder rivers however, great fun, just not this stretch.... Greenbelt Park 24 miles away Regular camping fees at this time (06/08) are $16/night. I have been camping at Greenbelt Park every summer for a week for the last 7 years. It was always at $14 up till last year when it went up to $16. Great Park though! Love it!... Deer Creek 26 miles away A Low Head Dam is upstream from RT 161/Down stream of Deths Ford RD paddlers may want to portage around it... Ski Liberty 57 miles away I loved Ski Liberty when I stayed there a few years ago for a weekend. It was the most fun I've ever had at a ski area. There was a great snow storm while we were there and the conditions were awesome. I'm coming back this year with my children and look forward to sharing your mountain with them....
