Golden Nugget Camper Park Absolutely perfect!!  We were blessed with good weather on our Alaska tour!  The folks at Golden Nugget were so helpful. They knew the area and what was a must see for us. The grounds were well kept and the showers CLEAN!!!...Very nice, clean and quiet RV Park!! Lots of room to stroll around and relax. Staff is very nice, friendly and helpful. We have been going there for the past 3 years - it is the largest and best park in Anchorage!! Enjoyed their evening BBQs and entertainment!! Lake Clark National Park & Preserve 1 PHOTO Lake Clark Air offers access to numerous back country camping area in Lake Clark National Park as well as lodging at The Farm Lodge, located in Port Alsworth, the headquarters for Lake Clark National Park.  This picture is taken at Snipe Lake, an excellent camping destination for hiking, sightseeing, wildlife viewing, and fishing.... Granite Creek - Chugach National Forest Katmai and Lake Clark are accessible only via costly charter flights.? Campbell creek has absolutely no whitewater.?... Alyeska 48 miles away 7 PHOTOS I think Alyeska has the highest elevation drop in Alaska but I could be wrong. Needless to say we're pretty ok with snow up here in Alaska, there's so much snow here you can't believe it. The skiing is perfect perfect! I cannot get enough of this mountain ever! Do wear plenty of clothes though....
