Browning, BT-100

The BT-100 features an adjustable and removable trigger assembly with crisp, clean pull. Just push a button on the left side of the trigger guard and the entire trigger assembly comes out in your hand — with no tools. By simply tightening or loosening a screw, trigger pull is adjustable from approximately 3 1/2 to 5 1/2 lbs. The trigger is incredibly clean and crisp. A roller on the hammer lifter promotes smoother, easier cocking. Lock time is fast. The trigger is adjustable to three positions for length of pull. By turning the Ejector-Selector 180°, fired shells are elevated in the chamber for easy removal, upon opening the breech. Under different circumstances, if you want your empties to eject, simply turn the Ejector-Selector the opposite 180°.

Browning, Model 1885

At the age of twenty-three, John M. Browning was working in his family's gun repair shop. One particular day, he was repairing a single-shot rifle. He turned to his father, who was now old, and said in disgust, "I could make a better gun than this myself." The intent of the comment was to tell his father that the gun wasn't any good. His father instead took the comment quite literally and replied, "I wish you'd get at it." The impact of that conversation must been strong because one year later John M. Browning had completed the design of a single-shot rifle that became known as the 1885. Because of the history and superb function of the 1885, it is used in competitive long range shooting and for hunting big and small game.

Browning, Gold Semi-Auto

Clean lines and superb between-the-hands balance have created a beautiful, fine handling shotgun, but the Gold's real beauty lies within. Its unique, self-regulating gas system allows you to shoot all loads interchangeably — from 1 1/8 oz. 2 3/4" field loads to the heaviest 3" and 3 1/2" magnums (depending on chambering). With lighter loads, most of the energy of expanding gases is used to operate the action. With magnum loads, excess gas is vented out the lateral vents in the piston, substantially reducing felt recoil over inertia- or recoil-operated systems. The Gold is also the only autoloader available with speed loading — with the action open, any load inserted into the magazine is sent directly to the chamber, ready to be fired.

Browning, Acera

The speed of a semi-auto, the accuracy of a bolt action and the reliability of a pump. These features best describe the new Acera rifle. The straight pull action requires only two quick movements to cycle the action, unlike the four needed to cycle a conventional bolt. One simple pull ejects the spent case and merely another forward push sends a new round to the chamber. European shooters have long appreciated a straight pull action because it is trouble-free and fast. The sleek contours of the one-piece stock bring it quickly to the shoulder and make it natural to aim and fire. You keep your eye on the target. There is no need to lift your cheek from the stock or disrupt your sight picture in any way.

Browning, BAR Mark II

Utilizing the same gas-action principle his grandfather invented, Bruce Browning designed the BAR (Browning Automatic Rifle). Thirty years later it is still the standard for semi-automatic centerfire hunting rifles. Since its initial production in 1967, the Browning BAR has set the standard as the only semi-automatic centerfire rifle offered in magnum calibers. Because of its massive seven-lug bolt, recessed bolt face and rotary lock up, the BAR is designed to handle heavy loads. After 30 years, the BAR remains the only choice for hunters who want a semi-auto centerfire in a magnum caliber.

Browning, Citori Over/Under

Before there were over and unders, there was Browning. The Browning is the over and under that first caught on in America. It was called the Superposed and it was designed by John Moses Browning. Today's Browning Citori continues that tradition of quality, fit, finish and handling. In fact, the Citori possesses many of the original features created by John Browning. The action is solid and precise. Its rugged design is made to last. It mounts and points with natural ease. It's simply everything you've ever dreamed of in a shotgun.

Browning, A-Bolt

The A-Bolt takes a proven action and adds top features to create the most accurate out-of-the-box rifles in the world. A smooth, adjustable trigger pull, easily accessible top-tang safety, detachable box magazine and a bolt set at an ergonomically perfect angle with a 60Þ throw set the A-Bolt apart. The free-floating barrel is glass-bedded at the recoil lug to maintain the proper spacing around the barrel for consistent accuracy. The non-rotating sleeve that runs the entire length of the bolt and a patented cartridge depressor prevent binding. New for 2001 is the 300 WSM — Winchester Short Magnum — a revolutionary new caliber that redefines mountain rifles. The 300 WSM delivers 300 Win. Mag. ballistics in a short-action system. Bring on the backcountry.

Browning, 300 WSM A-Bolt

Imagine combining the speed of a wide receiver with the bone-crunching power of a middle linebacker. That’s the best way to describe the new 300 Winchester Short Magnum (WSM). The best comparison to the 300 WSM, ballistically speaking, is the popular 300 Win. Mag. Both cartridges produce similar muzzle velocities, down range velocities, energy and trajectory. Depending on bullet weight and type, the new 300 WSM actually exceeds the ballistics of the 300 Win. Mag.

Browning, BPS Pump

While most companies view pump shotguns as a place to cut corners, drop prices and sell units, Browning views them as the most reliable action available — an action that serves as the foundation for other top features. The proven pump action of the BPS is sound and reliable. All components are durably constructed of solid steel and are housed inside a receiver machined from a solid block of forged steel. Bottom ejection throws empty shells down, out of your line of sight, and makes the BPS the ultimate pump for right- or left-handed shooters. Double slide bars, machined from heat-treated steel, eliminate twisting or binding. The result is smooth operation and the ability to stay on target and deliver quick follow-up shots.

Browning, Rimfire BL-22

The BL-22 is designed in the tradition of the American West – right down to the barrel bands, exposed hammer and tubular magazine. It has an unusually short 33° lever throw that you’ll find very useful. It makes working the action exceptionally fast for adults and much easier for young shooters. You won’t find this feature on any other lever action. It enables you to cock the hammer and chamber a fresh round with a mere flick of the wrist. And you can do this while keeping the BL-22 shouldered and on target. This is a feature that works so well you simply must experience it before you consider any other lever action 22. Because the trigger disconnects and travels with the lever, there’s no chance of pinching fingers – fat dad fingers or little daughter fingers. A precision rear-leaf sight is fully adjustable for windage and elevation. Available in Grade I and Grade II models. Capacity: 15 rounds of Long Rifle, 17 rounds of Longs or 22 rounds of Shorts. Conveniently, it reliably handles mixed loads in any order.
