The Big Rock Camping Area to Gauley River section of Cranberry River is well suited for whitewater paddlers who have been whitewater rafting and kayaking for some time but who are not yet prepared for the truly risky rapids. Whitewater kayaking and rafting may turn risky, so check conditions in advance of a trip.
