There's more to do close to Pilot Creek other than just hanging out such as whitewater paddling, and hiking, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. Pilot Creek is a very popular campground with folks in Cooke City.
The good folks who operate this site and the splendor of the site have people coming here. This campground is one of the good places to camp here in the Absaroka Range.
It's not good for you to spend too much time indoors; you've got to get
 
    out of the house once in a while, and Pilot Creek in Wyoming is the outdoors at its most excellent. Quite a lot of exciting things to do in close proximity to Pilot Creek, and when you spend some time here you will feel like a different
 person.
The 4.5-mile-long Stix and Stones section is a type V+ section of whitewater on Clarks Fork Yellowstone River. Raft paddlers on this part of Clarks Fork Yellowstone River should have quite a little bit of knowledge in whitewater rafting and kayaking. Unsurprisingly, whitewater rafting and kayaking is exciting but treacherous; check restrictions in advance of a trip. You get a good sight of Jim Smith Peak from Pilot Creek, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Pilot Creek Trail. That right there is plenty of fun things already but it goes on, the Absaroka Range has it all. If the weather is pleasant here at Pilot Creek, you can go for a hike along the Lake Reno
 
Trail, and if you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Cooke City. This is such a splendid campground. The Crazy Mountain Trail is a delightful hiking trail right next door to Pilot Creek, and Pilot Creek is near Pilot Creek and is always a bliss to visit.
