    Stevens Pass Trailhead is positioned in the Northern Cascade Range.
On close by Tye River you bump into a class V sweep of whitewater; the Surprise Creek to Alpine Falls portion is 3.25 miles long. This sweep of Tye River is a
 challenging sweep for whitewater rafting or kayaking. Naturally, whitewater rafting or kayaking is cool but hazardous; check circumstances prior to departure. A nice 20-mile-long delightful trail having a variation in altitude of 2,568 feet is to be found around here; this is the Lake Michael Trail. Roughly speaking two and a half days of tough trekking on the Lake Michael Trail is time well spent. 4,439 feet of height difference and 7.4 miles of backcountry backpacking is what you get at Davis Peak Lookout Trail, a charming backcountry hiking trail in the neighborhood. The Davis Peak Lookout Trail is tough; it requires more or less one and a half days to backcountry hike. A splendid  
hiking trail in possession of an altitude variation of 2,634 feet, and 8 miles from beginning to end, can be found close at hand.
