There's a great 8-mile-from-beginning-to-end
 category II+(IV) whitewater stretch on Chewuch River close by, the Five Mile Bridge to Winthrop section. You might get drenched raft paddling this stretch of Chewuch River, so you should be set for that. Don't neglect to check the latest conditions before heading out raft paddling to ensure your security. A wonderful hiking trail with a variation in elevation of 3,531 feet, and 19 miles in distance, can be encountered in the neighborhood. This stunning hiking trail is the Bluff Lake Trail. Bluff Lake Trail requires two and a half days to hike; it's a hard hiking trail. The 920 foot variation in height Pearrygin Trail is a gorgeous place to go backcountry hiking; it's 3 miles of wonderful  
backcountry hiking. Pearrygin Trail is an average difficulty hiking trail that takes something like three hours to backcountry walk.
