On nearby Stillaguamish River - South Fork you find a class III+ stretch of whitewater; the Mallardy Creek to Verlot segment is 9 miles long. The Mallardy Creek to Verlot segment of Stillaguamish River - South Fork is appropriate for paddlers who have been whitewater kayaking or rafting for a while but who are not yet ready for the very perilous rapids. You have to check current conditions ahead of going; whitewater kayaking or rafting can get perilous. Morning Star - Bear Lake is right by the Gee Point Trail; locations like Wallace Falls State Park are good to stop by. Man, is there a heap of exciting things to do in the Northern Cascade Range.
