Being a challenging hiking trail, backcountry trekking the Rainbow Lake Trail takes about three and a half days. 1,890 feet of difference between top and bottom and 14.4 miles of trekking is what you get at West Fork Methow Trail, a beautiful wilderness trail nearby. This wilderness trail,  
the West Fork Methow Trail is a challenging walk that calls for approximately two days. Hiking along the Rainbow Lake Trail is delightful fun, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Park Creek Trail.
