Do set aside some time for Hells Half Acre since you're here at Grand Gulch; close by you find the Emigrant Trail which is a good hiking trail. Goosenecks State Park is a great spot
| ||to stretch your legs a bit, and Maverick Point is pretty close. This is a great campground. Places like Edge Of The Cedars State Park are great to have a look at, and going for a hike on the Government Trail is always a great adventure. There is a good hiking trail close to Grand Gulch called the Arch Canyon Trail, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Hole in the Rock Trail. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors cool things the area near Grand Gulch has to offer. The Peavine Trail is a good hiking trail next to Grand Gulch. Grand Gulch is pretty waterless regularly. Most of the rain falls through August, and June is the month with the least moisture. Throughout || ||
the long summer days, highs commonly are in the 90's at Grand Gulch. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Grand Gulch temperatures dip to the 20's.
