Taken as a whole this section of Abrams Creek is an amusing place for whitewater boating. You must check current conditions prior to departure; whitewater boating can turn dangerous. The top of Pine Mountain is easily seen from Great Smoky Mountains National Park - Scott Gap. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Abrams Falls Trail, and Nantahala National Forest is a good location to stretch your legs a bit. This campground has it all. Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a great location close to Great Smoky
 
Mountains National Park - Scott Gap, and go on a spree to Winfield Oaks Farms if you want to ride a horse. Playing golf is lots of fun at Royal Oaks Golf Course, and going for a horse ride at close by Mountain Meadow Equestran Center is always a fun thing to do.
