    Ridge Shelter - Appalachian Trail is a campground that is incredibly loved by the folks in Townsend. Some activities here at Mollies Ridge Shelter - Appalachian Trail are whitewater paddling, swimming, playing golf, hiking, and fishing,
 so in all probability you want to stay a bit.
You find the 18-mile-long Cades Cove to US Route 127 portion of Abrams Creek close by; this is a type I-III whitewater part. In general this part of Abrams Creek is an exciting location for raft paddling. Don't go raft paddling before first checking restrictions; it's hazardous business. If the weather is magnificent here at Mollies Ridge Shelter - Appalachian Trail, you can go for a hike along the Vista Trail. Fort Loudoun State Park is worth checking out if you're at Mollies Ridge Shelter - Appalachian Trail, and why not a little side tour to Devils Tater Patch Branch.
