 backpacking awaits you on the nearby Pacific Crest Trail - section 22; this backpacking and hiking trail has a difference in elevation of 4,066 feet and is 87.6 miles long. More or less ten days of hard backcountry backpacking on the Pacific Crest Trail - section 22 is time well used. A fine 5.1-mile-in-length backcountry trail in possession of a fine 1,750-foot height difference is to be found nearby. This is the Cub Creek Trail; it's a picturesque trek. An average backcountry trail like Cub Creek Trail should take you something like five hours. The 5.4-mile-from-start-to-finish Fish Lake Trail has a difference in elevation of 682 feet; it is a beautiful wilderness hiking trail. The  
6.2-mile-from-beginning-to-end Blue Lake Camas Prairie Trail is a stunning hiking trail featuring a great 1,097-foot difference between top and bottom.
