Pioneer is a magnificent campground to use as a base while enjoying the Coast Ranges.
Lots of folks camp here in order to be close to Coquille Myrtle Grove State Park. The splendid selection of local attractions, and such a large number of things to do are good incentives to come.
All the joyful people and the splendor of the place will make you feel splendid. Camping out certainly is a great thing to do, and Pioneer in Oregon is a nice pick. Outdoors recreation is abundant, some of the enjoyable stuff you can do is hiking, and whitewater paddling, so you won’t run out of things to do.
There's such a vast number of things to do near Pioneer, and if you're looking for

A grade IV-V, 5.5-mile-long whitewater bit can be found on nearby Coquille River - South Fork, the
 Myrtle Grove Camp Ground to Milepost 3 portion. The Myrtle Grove Camp Ground to Milepost 3 portion of Coquille River - South Fork is recommended for proficient whitewater boaters exclusively. Don't go whitewater kayaking or rafting before first checking conditions; it's perilous business. The 1,019 foot difference between top and bottom Bear Camp Trail is a delightful spot to go backpacking; it's 5.7 miles of splendid backpacking. Siskiyou National Forest is a magnificent place to go to, and you can have a good hiking adventure along the Illinois River Trail. But wait, there's more amusing things to do in the Coast Ranges. A great place close to Pioneer is Eden Valley, and at Pioneer  
you always meet someone from Coos Bay. A campground like this is too nice to miss. Swamps can be such attention-grabbing spots, stop at Ash Swamp while you're here at Pioneer.
