This is a pleasant spot for tent camping; take the cat, you are permitted to take pets. Campbell Lake is a nice place for RV-ing, and water hookups are available here. There's plenty of outdoors recreation available in the vicinity such as swimming, fishing, and hiking, so running out of cool things to do won’t happen.

 opt for this campground in order to be in the vicinity of Fremont National Forest. There's such a vast number of things to do close to Campbell Lake, and to be at this campground is always fun. Hanan Trail has an altitude variation of 862 feet; this pretty great outdoors trail is 6.8 miles from start to finish. A good five hours of tough backpacking waits for you along the Hanan Trail. Gearhart Trail is a striking trail; it's 11.9 miles in distance and has a variation in altitude of 2,196 feet. If by chance you want a difficult backcountry walk, Gearhart Trail takes approximately one and a half days to backcountry walk. Whisky Spring Trail is a lovely nearby hiking and backpacking trail;  
it has an elevation difference of 2,527 feet and is 7.2 miles long. You must have one day to hike the Whisky Spring Trail; it's a tough hike.
