The experienced paddlers should perhaps stay away from this part of John Day River. Always check restrictions before you go whitewater paddling since whitewater paddling is a hazardous pursuit. People from Fossil love to come to Shelton Wayside, and Shelton Wayside is in the neighborhood of Cline Falls State Park which is a pretty place.
