About 25% of the trails covering the 25 acres of terrain at Cataloochee are advanced and expert while 75% of the trails are easy. Skiers enjoy Cataloochee; it's a good ski hill. The 10 trails of Cataloochee are all enjoyable and are
 
served by 4 lifts. The drop from top to bottom is 740 feet, and this ski hill gets 3 feet of ice cold snow per year.
