Good hiking is available along the Hole in the Wall Trail, and Ackley Lake State Park is a good place. Flat
| ||Creek flows through this vicinity, and don't leave Slaughter River without first going for a hike along the Wagon Wheel Trail. This campground is so gorgeous. Really tremendous skiing awaits you at Bear Paw Ski Bowl, and Starve Out Flat is a splendid location to check out. Interesting geology is available here; Canavan Bench is right next door to Slaughter River. Fahlgren Coulee is a great place to stop by right next door to Slaughter River, and no need to travel far to take a look at out of the ordinary stuff like Sneath Bottom. Man, is there heaps of enjoyable things to do in the neighborhood of Slaughter River. Not much precipitation falls here at Slaughter River. The month of May is the || ||
wettest with most of the rain, and February is when it's the driest. For the duration of the summer at Slaughter River temperatures are regularly in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's.
