Lake Creek Trailhead is situated in a vicinity with loads of cool stuff to do; it sure is a perfect campground.
There's lots of outdoors recreation available close by such as whitewater paddling, fishing, playing golf, and swimming, so it's completely out of the question to get bored. On Salmon River close by you encounter the 70-mile-from-start-to-finish
    East Fork of Salmon to Town of North Fork segment of class II whitewater. For those inexperienced in raft paddling this section of Salmon River may be an amusing spot to paddle. Whitewater rapids are dangerous matters, so you have
 to check current conditions prior to departure. You might want to pay a visit to Pine Gulch while you're here at Lake Creek Trailhead. Lake Creek Trailhead is right next door to Yankee Fork State Park which is a picturesque place; not far from Lake Creek Trailhead you'll discover Bayhorse Lake which is a pretty lake. This campground is so great. Very delightful scenery and good skiing is what you get at Sun Valley; near Lake Creek Trailhead you discover a golf course called Challis Golf Course. Some of the water close by flows, like Lake Creek. Lake Creek Trailhead is a location that is relatively waterless usually. The month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and February meanwhile  
is the driest month. High temperatures at Lake Creek Trailhead through the summertime are in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
