A close by category IV whitewater section can be found on Salmon River;
 the Sunbeam Dam to Holman Creek segment is 14 miles long. Donít be sure of keeping yourself dry whitewater rafting and kayaking this section of Salmon River if by chance you're not an skilled raft paddler. Whitewater rapids are dangerous phenomenons, so you must check the situation ahead of going. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not explore Yellow Belly Lake near Stovepipe Springs, and hiking along the Bull Moose Trail is nice fun. So many entertaining things to do in the Salmon River Mountains, not enough time. A splendid way to spend a wintertime day is to rent a snow mobile from Smiley Creek Lodge. Going for a hike along the Yellow Belly Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty  
of this neighborhood. A visit to Sawtooth National Forest revives the spirit, and obviously Elk Creek flows through this vicinity.
