If you fancy the outdoors, you won’t be dissatisfied; there's whitewater paddling, and hiking, so perhaps you want to stay a while.

You need to get out of the house, and Granite Springs, Idaho is a great
 
    spot for getting out. Nez Perce National Forest is worth taking a look at if you're at Granite Springs; you can have a glorious hiking adventure along the Meadow Creek National Recreation Trail. And that's not all there is to do here
 in the Clearwater Mountains. Going for a hike along the Old Nez Perce Indian Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. There's some flowing water nearby, Cabin Creek is a stream you can stop by while you're here. Granite Springs is right by the Nez Perce Trail; since you're here you can take a hike along the Anderson Butte National Recreation Trail. Take a hike on the Chamberlain Trail. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Granite Springs. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's, and overnight lows at Granite Springs through the winter commonly plunge into the 10's. A common amount of rain falls here at Granite  
Springs. For the duration of the month of January you get the most snow around here, and July is the month with the least moisture.
