Ouzel is one of the spots to camp here in the Front Range. Quite a lot of cool stuff to do next to Ouzel, and it's   one of those places where everything is nice. Outdoors recreation is abundant, some of the enjoyable stuff you can do is hiking, playing golf, swimming, fishing, and whitewater paddling, so running out of exciting stuff to do won’t happen. The Deckers to confluence with North Fork sector has a span of 12 miles; you come across this run of whitewater on South Platte River. It's a grade I-III run. This sector of South Platte River is a mid difficulty run for kayak paddling. Don't go kayak paddling in advance of first checking conditions; it's hazardous business.
