Take a hike on the Granada - Fort Union Route of Santa Fe National Historic Trail, and nearby you hit upon wonderful places like Bushy Canyon. This is   such a lovely campground. A visit to Black Mesa State Park invigorates the spirit, and Carrizo Canyon is not the only site nearby, Lake Carl Etling is a nearby lake. During the summer months here at Carrizo Canyon, high temperatures generally reach the 90's while overnight lows are usually in the 60's. All through the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 40's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Carrizo Canyon. It is very dehydrated here at Carrizo Canyon usually.
