In case you're trying to find a class IV(V) whitewater run to run, you're in luck; the Vermillion Dam to Mono Diversion sector is a magnificent
 1.5-mile-from-start-to-finish piece of Mono Creek. This run of Mono Creek is a hard run for whitewater kayaking and rafting. For your safety you have to always check conditions ahead of going whitewater kayaking and rafting. A great 3.4-mile-from-beginning-to-end backpacking trail with a great 954-foot height difference is to be found in close proximity. This is the Sherwin Lakes Trail; it's a beautiful trek. Sherwin Lakes Trail is three hours of backpacking. There's a wonderful 2.8-mile-in-distance hiking trail in possession of a wonderful 1,224-foot variation in elevation close at hand; this delightful hiking trail is the Mammoth Rock Trail. This hiking trail, the Mammoth Rock Trail  
is a difficult backcountry walk that necessitates more or less three hours. The peak of Volcanic Knob can be distinguished from Pacific Crest Trail Trailcamp 873.
