California is a great place for campers. Chico Flat is extremely well prized by people of Kernville. The great people who operate this place and the enormously admirably controlled facilities are a nice draw for loads of folks. Everybody should go camping for a couple of days every now and then, and Chico Flat is a great local campground if you happen to be in California. Loads of people pick Chico Flat during their visit to Sequoia National Forest.       This campground is one of the wonderful spots to camp here in the Southern Sierra Nevada. Some activities here at Chico Flat are whitewater paddling, hiking, swimming, fishing, and playing golf, so you won’t run out of things to do.   So many exciting things near Chico Flat, and if you're trying to locate a great place to go camping for a couple of days, this is a good selection. The 7 runs at Shirley Meadow are all great; the drop is 600 feet at this ski hill. Shirley Meadow has 18 feet of white snow annually and has 3 different ski lifts to transport all the skiers up the slope. Shirley Meadow has 80 acres of skiing territory; 30% of the runs are black and red while 70% are intermediate or beginner. Shirley Meadow has wonderful runs to fit any ability. A wonderful 1.5-mile-long whitewater sweep on Brush Creek is close by. This, the Rincon Camp to Kern River portion, is a type V. In the event that you don’t feel like   getting soaked, this sweep of Brush Creek is probably not for you.
