There are showers here at Twin Lakes; restrooms are of course on hand. The caring people working here and the satisfactorily maintained facilities beat anything. Twin Lakes is a good campground to use as a base while enjoying the Central Sierra Nevada.

The 156 runs of Mammoth Mountain are all enjoyable and are served by 27 good ski lifts. The height difference is 3,100 feet, and this ski resort obtains 32 feet of beautiful snow yearly. There are 3,500 acres of skiing land at Mammoth Mountain, 35% of the runs are challenging; those are the ones the expert skiers enjoy the most. 65% of the runs at Mammoth Mountain are green and blue and appropriate for young ones and learners. There's a great 32.5-mile-long grade V+ whitewater bit on San Joaquin River -
 
Middle Fork close by, the Devils Postpile Nat'l Monument to Mammoth Pool Reservoir portion. This portion of San Joaquin River - Middle Fork is recommended for proficient paddlers solely.
