    Near Horseshoe is a glorious 19-mile-from-beginning-to-end section of whitewater on Verde River, a class I-II, this is the Horseshoe Reservoir to Bartlett Reservoir section. This section of Verde River is advised for learner whitewater
 paddlers. Whitewater rafting and kayaking may get perilous, so check circumstances ahead of going. Tremendous backcountry backpacking awaits you on the in the neighborhood Verde River Trail Number Eleven; this wilderness trail has a height difference of 462 feet and is 14.6 miles from start to finish. Hiking the Verde River Trail Number Eleven, a difficult wilderness trail, requires more or less one and a half days. A good 27.2-mile-from-start-to-finish backpacking trail featuring a good 3,116-foot altitude difference can be found in the vicinity. This is the Table Mountain Trail; it's a pretty backcountry hike. There's no more excellent way to spend three and a half days than to backcountry  
hike the hard Table Mountain Trail. The 34.2-mile-from-start-to-finish Willow Spring Trail has a height variation of 5,105 feet; it is a gorgeous great outdoors hiking trail.
