Camp Millicoma, Coast Ranges, Oregon Custom Search   Prior to Camp Millicoma being open to the public it was the Girl Scout campgrounds. The Adirondacks, have bunks built into them, one just needs sleeping bag and pillow, there is room for 8 people to sleep. The campground is very clean and pleasant to be at. Many of the hunters stay at the hotel in town, a 14 mile drive west of Allegany.  With the distance many hunters often arrive late for their trek into the wild.  If they chose Camp Millicoma, the hunters could be picked up by their guide, as hunting is beyond the campgrounds. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Millicoma River - West Fork; lots of folks from Coos Bay come here. The warmest time of the year at Camp Millicoma comes with high temperatures in the 70's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Camp Millicoma. Camp Millicoma is not the only place close by, Gould Lake is a close by lake; there's some flowing water nearby, Piledriver Creek is a stream you can visit while you're here. You completely have to have a thing about Camp Millicoma. A good spot for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Camp Millicoma is Umpqua River. This is a   perfect campground. Get your heart pumping on the glorious whitewater of Coos River - South Fork; a journey here wouldn’t be complete without a spree to close by Golden and Silver Falls State Park. All the water falling down from the sky makes Camp Millicoma a wet location; most of the rain falls during December while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Yeah, come up here to the Coast Ranges for a good time. Going for a hike on the Threemile Lake Trail is always a wonderful adventure, and a tour to William M. Tugman State Park is a nice idea.
