Lake Thunderbird Dam is charming and it's near Marina Village Resort; don't leave Marina Village Resort without first going for a hike along the Big Thicket - Woodlands Trail. Marina Village Resort sees pretty high levels of rain; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is August.
Don't forget to take a nice little journey to Choates Creek, and there are pleasant spots to explore along the Bull Creek Trail. |
A number of folks pick this campground to be right next door to Lake Livingston State Park. This is a great campground. Golf can be played at Mill Ridge Golf Club; glorious hiking is available along the Mercy Trail.

There's more to do in the vicinity of Marina Village Resort other than just hanging out such as playing golf, hiking, fishing, and swimming, so there's absolutely no way to get bored. Going for a hike
on the Lake Livingston State Park Trail is always a good adventure. For the duration of the days of summer highs here at Marina Village Resort reach the 90's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 70's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's, and overnight lows in the 30's for Marina Village Resort.
