 you like whitewater, there is the FM 335 to Barksdale section, a type I-II whitewater stretch on Nueces River, 10 miles from beginning to end. For those inexperienced in whitewater kayaking and rafting this stretch of Nueces River may be a cool location to raft. Whitewater paddling could turn risky, so check restrictions in advance of a trip. There are plenty of people from Barksdale here at Ledge Water, and why not a little side visit to Spring Creek. Everybody  
    loves Garner State Park; Kickapoo Cavern State Park is a great place. At this campground you will always have a perfect time. Around Ledge Water you don’t get a lot of rainfall. The month of May is the wettest with most of the rain,
  and the driest of the months is December. Through the summertime months, highs typically are in the 90's at Ledge Water. For the period of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 60's. Highs during the winter are typically in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Ledge Water are in the 30's.
