also check out Giant Canada Goose Pond since you're here; it's not far at all. Among the things you can do next to Poppy Mountain Campground are hiking, playing golf, whitewater paddling, swimming, and fishing, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. This
campground is a fine site to visit. Have a fine hiking adventure along the Hog Pen Trail; get your heart pumping on the good whitewater of Little Sandy River. While dropping by this area in Kentucky it's a magnificent idea to go camping for a couple of days too. Throughout
the warm days of summer here at Poppy Mountain Campground, high temperatures frequently reach the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's; night lows at Poppy Mountain Campground through the winter generally descend into
the 10's. This camp ground is to be found in the wonderful Cumberland Plateau Mountains. Poppy Mountain Campground usually gets a large amount of precipitation; through the month of May you get the most rain around here; the driest month is January.
