Get yourself into a kayak and hit Buzzard Creek, and Gunnison River is one of the streams close by that might be worth visiting. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site. There are some great whitewater spots on Colorado River; you'll most likely meet some people from Grand Junction here.
