In case you love whitewater, there is the Wagon Wheel Gap to South Fork segment, a class II whitewater       segment on Rio Grande, 12 miles in length. For those inexperienced in kayak paddling this segment of Rio Grande may be a cool site to kayak. Whitewater rapids are perilous occurrences, so you should check current conditions prior   to departure. Head up to Wolf Creek and strap some skis to your feet, and hey, Deep Creek is a splendid local stream. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. A tremendous site to pop by near Mountain Views RV Resort is Dry Gulch; since you're here you can take a hike along the Farmers Creek Trail.
