Paxson Inn and Lodge is situated in the Alaska Range.
In Alaska you never run out of outdoors exciting stuff. If you love whitewater, there is the Summit Lake to Paxson Lake segment, a grade III whitewater run on Gulkana River, 12 miles long. If you don’t want to risk getting soaked this run of Gulkana River is perhaps not for you. You should check restrictions before you go; whitewater kayaking or rafting may get perilous. The panoramas
 
    at Wrangell - St Elias National Park & Preserve will blow your mind. For the period of the summer at Paxson Inn and Lodge highs are commonly in the 60's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime
  this place gets highs in the 0's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Paxson Inn and Lodge temperatures drop to the-20's. Paxson Inn and Lodge is pretty dried out regularly. During July this area sees the most rain, and March meanwhile is the driest month.
