  Any time is a good time at Sourdough Lodge if you have a thing about the outdoors. Float down the rapids of Bear Valley Creek in a kayak, and there's tremendous hiking along the Kirkham Ridge Trail. All the outdoors enjoyable things in the Sawtooth Range will keep you coming back again and again. Challis National Forest is a great place to go if you're at Sourdough Lodge. This campground has so incredibly much. Paddling on Payette River - South Fork is so much fun, and do take a hike on the Blue Bunch Trail.
If you come at the right time of year, Marsh
    Creek offers some perfect whitewater; the Black Warrior Creek Trail offers hiking at its best.

Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Sawtooth Range. There are other sites here than Sourdough Lodge, for example Cat Lakes, and you can have a fine hiking adventure along the Camptender Trail. All through the warm days of summer, highs usually are in the 80's at Sourdough Lodge, and the nighttime is rather cooler of course, regularly in the 40's. Highs through the wintertime are generally in the 30's, and night lows at Sourdough Lodge during the winter regularly sink into the 10's. The Sawtooth Range scenery is always beautiful.
Some activities here at Sourdough Lodge are swimming, fishing, whitewater paddling, and hiking, so perhaps you want to stay a bit.
