On Hiwassee River and High Shoals Creek you find the nearby High Shoals Creek Trailhead to US 17 section. This is a class III-IV+(V+), 4-mile-in-length bit of whitewater. The High Shoals Creek Trailhead to US 17 section of Hiwassee River and High Shoals Creek is recommended for experienced kayak paddlers solely.
