Washoe Lake State Park is a campground where campfires are permitted. The folks who watch over the campground and the massive amount of enjoyable stuff to do will make you feel great. Outdoors recreation is abundant, some of the amusing stuff you can do is playing golf, hiking, swimming, whitewater paddling, and fishing, so getting bored is not something that is likely       to happen. Washoe Lake State Park is a campground quite often visited by visitors from Washoe Valley. It's impossible to get bored in Nevada if you have a thing about the outdoors. Mt. Rose has 1,200 acres to ski on; 50% of   the ski trails are green and blue which is good for novices; 50% of the ski trails are demanding. The close by ski resort Mt. Rose gets covered by 33 feet of fluffy snow per season. Mt. Rose has 8 ski lifts that serve its 60 ski trails; the vertical drop is 1,800 feet. A charming hiking trail in the neighborhood is Mount Rose Trail; it's 5.4 miles in distance and has a variation between top and bottom of 787 feet.   AMENITIES Tent camping is available - We have 49 sites available for tents and/or recreational vehicles. No RV hookups - We do have a dump station available. Pets are allowed - We do allow pets.
