Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Lots of people from Hodgen come to Horse Heaven Ranch, and Cossatot River State Park is a perfect site. All the brilliant local attractions     nearby and so many things to do are great reasons to come. Several folks opt for this campground in order to be in close proximity to Queen Wilhelmina State Park. Just can't get enough of the Ouachita Mountains. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Billy Creek Trail; a delightful lake like Reeds Lake is a great location to visit. Lots of precipitation falls at Horse Heaven Ranch; most of the rain falls through May, and the driest month is January. And if that's not enough there's lots more cool stuff to do in the Ouachita Mountains. At Horse Heaven Ranch amusing stuff to do is abundant, and it is a very brilliant campground. Some activities here at Horse Heaven Ranch are swimming, fishing, whitewater paddling, and hiking, so getting bored is not something that is likely   to happen. Visit Little Pigeon Creek if you're here at Horse Heaven Ranch, and get your heart pumping on the wonderful whitewater of Mountain Fork. This is such a fun location for a campground. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Kiamichi River; do take a hike on the Little Eagle Trail. Horse Heaven Ranch is a campground esteemed by folks of Hodgen. Throughout the warm days of summer highs here at Horse Heaven Ranch reach the 90's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's while Horse Heaven Ranch night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 20's. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Big Creek; spots like Queen Wilhelmina State Park are wonderful to pop by.
