| | We must all go for a camping trip every so often, and Montauk State Park is a good local campground if you happen to be in Missouri. This is such a picturesque campground. Do stop at Lake Turner in the neighborhood of Montauk State Park, it's a delightful lake, and going for a hike on the Wagon Trace is always a perfect adventure. High temperatures at Montauk State Park during the long summer days are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. Highs through the winter are frequently in the 30's while Montauk State Park overnight low |
temperatures all through the winter are in the 10's.
The scenery at Lake Turner Dam near Montauk State Park is striking; Montauk State Park is close to Mark Twain National Forest which is a wonderful place. Montauk State Park is one of the places to camp here in the Ozarks.
