This   close by ski hill has 8 feet of ice cold snow every year and has a drop from top to bottom of 700 feet. If by chance you love whitewater, there is the Skyline Pkwy to Lester River portion, a type IV-V whitewater stretch on Amity Creek, 2.4 miles in length.
