  The great pick of local attractions, and such a large number of things to do are nice causes to come. The Way Back Trail is a great hiking trail close to Ray's Campground; Hawks Nest State Park is a wonderful spot to stop at.
Ray's Campground is a wet spot that gets a good deal of rainfall; July is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. Lots of fun is at this campground. Bluestone National Scenic River is a very tremendous place to take a look at near Ray's Campground, and sites like Babcock State Park are
    tremendous to check out. So many amusing things next to Ray's Campground; it's always fun to be at this campground.
Don't miss out on a journey to Gauley River National Recreation Area if you're here at Ray's Campground, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Carnifex
Trail. Gotta ski! Winterplace is a great spot to do that, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Glade Creek - Meadow River Tributary. Ray's Campground is an old favorite with residents of Hico.

High temperatures at Ray's Campground during the summer are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 40's with temperatures at Ray's Campground dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights.
A lot of folks stay at Ray's Campground when going to Babcock State Park.
