Lots of folks choose Watoga State Park for the purpose of being next to Watoga State Park. Take a hike on the Buckley Mountain Trail; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Snowshoe is reasonably near. On a brilliant day at Watoga State Park you can take a hike along the Beaver Trail, and Indian Draft   is in the vicinity, and is a good place. Cass Railroad State Park is a beautiful place any time of year, and you can see Airport Hill from Watoga State Park. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Greenbrier River, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Marlin Mountain Trail. At Watoga State Park during the days of summer highs are in the 80's; the nighttime is rather colder of course, frequently in the 50's. All through the wintertime highs are generally in the 30's with temperatures at Watoga State Park dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. There is so much amusing stuff to do next to Watoga State Park; it's one of those spots where everything is magnificent. Watoga State Park sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is mostly July, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is February.
