| | Lone Mountain RV Resort, which opened this summer, is in the picturesque Illinois Valley in Southwestern Oregon, where you can hike, golf, fish, raft, pan for gold and swim in crystal-clear water. The upscale RV park is in the community of O'Brien, 15 miles north of the California border, near major tourist attractions, and within 45 minutes of six lakes and three rivers. The park sits 300 feet off Redwood Highway 199, the Mystic Corridor scenic byway that connects the Redwood National Park in California with Crater Lake National Park in Oregon.

has 32 RV spaces in a well-landscaped area of nearly four acres, with an adjoining nature trail and creek. There are laundry facilities, a volleyball grass court, horseshoe pits and a gazebo and picnic area with a barbecue. A grocery store and steak house are within walking distance.
| Lone Mountain RV Resort is built on property that has been in one family for nearly 100 years. It was purchased by Herbert Woodbury in 1910, and then went to his son, Bill, in 1950, and to Bill's son Glenn in 1990. Owners Glenn and Lori Woodbury said the park is situated in an ideal setting. There are hundreds of things to do and enjoy so you don't waste fuel traveling from place to place,'' Glenn Woodbury said.

Nearby attractions include the Oregon Caves National Monument, Great Cat World Park, Rough and Ready Botanical Garden and the Kalmiopsis Wilderness Area, in addition to the Redwood and Crater Lake national
parks. Jet boat trips on the Rogue River, and boating, swimming and fishing at other rivers and lakes are just some of the recreation activities available. There are also lots of opportunities for hiking, wine tours and horseback riding.

The summit of Indian Hill can be seen from Lone Mountain RV Resort, and at Seats Dam next to Lone Mountain RV Resort there are some attention-grabbing things to see. And
if that's not sufficient there's plenty more exciting stuff to do in the Klamath Mountains. Fry Gulch is near Lone Mountain RV Resort and is undeniably a nice place to stop at, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Althouse Trail. This is such a great campground. You can
run the rapids of Smith River - North Fork near Lone Mountain RV Resort; hiking is a popular thing to do around Lone Mountain RV Resort; Chetco Divide Trail is a magnificent local trail. A journey to Oregon Caves National Monument is recommended, and there's whitewater on Smith
River - Middle Fork for all you adrenaline rush seekers.
Now, you may assume that's a heap but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here in the Klamath Mountains. Golf Course is a golf course close to Lone Mountain RV Resort; lots of folks from O Brien come here. This is
such a scenic campground. Take a side visit to O'Brien Creek, and not far from Lone Mountain RV Resort you'll come across Rough and Ready Log Pond which is a stunning lake. Lone Mountain RV Resort gets lots of water; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain; July
on the other hand is the driest.
Don't leave Lone Mountain RV Resort without visiting Six Rivers National Forest, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Illinois River. Throughout the summer here at Lone Mountain RV Resort, high temperatures
