Outdoors recreation is plentiful, some of the exciting stuff you can do is hiking, fishing, swimming, playing golf, and whitewater paddling, so probably you want to stick around. Lots of fun is at this campground. You can run the rapids of Ramapo River in the vicinity of Camp Echo Lake; since you're here you can take a hike along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail.

The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Camp Echo Lake, and all through the night it cools down to the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Camp Echo Lake sink into the 10's.

you thrill seekers; for you golfers we recommend close by St Andrews Golf Club. A good site for whitewater paddling close to Camp Echo Lake is Moodna Creek, and the Woodtown Trail is a glorious hiking trail close by.

Tallman Mountain State Park; the peak of Beaver Hill can be distinguished from Camp Echo Lake. Lots of folks stay at Camp Echo Lake so they can go to Rockefeller State Park.
