always a good adventure, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Blue Lake. Camp Discovery is a campground that is very loved by people from Cortlandt Manor. There is a great hiking trail in the neighborhood of Camp Discovery called the Woodtown
Trail, and why not head up to Thunder Ridge and strap some skis to your feet. Get your pulse rate up on the good whitewater of Moodna Creek, and you can go for a hike on the Breakneck Ridge Trail. Some people opt for this campground so they can go to Franklin D. Roosevelt State
Park. This place is excellent, just look at all the entertaining things to do close to Camp Discovery. While you're here at Camp Discovery you can take a hike along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. Camp Discovery regularly gets a lot of rainfall; most of the rain falls
during July while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. The caring staff and the abundance of fun things to do have many folks coming here. Trump National Golf Club is a golf course close to Camp Discovery, and when you're here it's always fun to pop
by Rockefeller State Park. Pack your tent and sleeping bag and start your engine; Camp Discovery, New York is a nice place for getting out. Purdy Brook is a magnificent local stream, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Popolopen Creek.
