River Retreat, West Virginia Custom Search   If by chance you enjoy comfort, there are tremendous cabins at this campground; rental boats are on hand here at River Retreat. Here at River Retreat a playground is available, so your young ones may play; at the gameroom you may play some enjoyable games. Campfires are welcome, and this is a fine site for boating. Hope you like fishing, the fishing is tremendous , and River Retreat is a good locality for tent camping. Hiking here is perfect exercise,       and cool for young and old; there's a perfect pool here at River Retreat, so you could swim a couple of laps. There are showers here at River Retreat, and on a good day at River Retreat you could take pleasure in a good barbeque at   the picnic area. In case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you could go water skiing here, and bike riding is one of the cool things you could do here. The close by class III-V, 2-mile-in-length County 60/12 bridge to Meadow River confluence portion of whitewater on Glade Creek - Meadow River Tributary is a lot of fun. The beginners should probably stay away from this bit of Glade Creek - Meadow River Tributary. You must check the situation in advance       of a trip; whitewater rafting and kayaking can become perilous. During your journey to River Retreat you'll meet some folks from Hico for sure. A trip to a nearby bowling alley like White Oak Lanes is always enjoyable. You definitely   should stop by Babcock State Park if you're here at River Retreat, and if you've had enough of River Retreat, Summersville Lake is close by. This campground is so splendid. Head out on the picturesque water at Summersville Lake Marina, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Way Back Trail.
