The 100 ski runs that cover the close by ski hill Bretton Woods are lots of fun; these ski runs get an average of 17 feet of good snow annually.       Bretton Woods has a perfect 1,500-foot drop, and has 10 different ski lifts. The Twin Mountain to Pierce bridge sector on Ammonoosuc River is a nearby type II-III whitewater stretch, 2.9 miles in length. On the whole this stretch   of Ammonoosuc River is an amusing place for whitewater rafting and kayaking. Check conditions before heading out on the whitewater, otherwise it's not safe. Good family pleasure awaits you at MT Washington Cog Railway, and Twin Mountain KOA is right by the North Twin Trail.
