If only every location had this much outdoors exciting stuff, what a great globe it would be. A visit to Patuxent River State Park invigorates the spirit. There's whitewater on Cabin John Creek for all you adrenaline kick people, and Great Falls Park is a wonderful national park. Olympia is a place with many visitors from Derwood, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Manor Run. This campground is so wonderful. For you golfers we recommend close by Northwest Park Golf Course, and going for a hike on the Gold Mine Trail is always a great adventure.
Man, is there plenty of exciting stuff to do close to Camp Olympia. If you're a golfer then a perfect nearby course is Laytonsville Golf Course, and Seneca Creek State Park is a good site. Camp Olympia is a good place of common precipitation; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February.
